Hockey: Strikers name new coach

The South West Strikers have named long-time hockey identity Allan McGeogh as their coach for the 2011 Willow Bridge Cup season.

Well known in the hockey community, McGeogh has won a myriad of premierships in the Bunbury and Districts Hockey Association, both as a player and as a coach.

He is currently serving as Chairman of the Association’s senior match committee and takes over from outgoing coach Dave McGeoch.

The Strikers will this year push for promotion to the prestigious Goundrey Cup League, considered by many to be the premier hockey club league in the world.
