Organisers of the third annual Hope Warriors Charity Ball are hoping for a "happily ever after" on Saturday night at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.

"Formal versions" of Alice in Wonderland, Snow White and other fairytale princesses are expected to attend the fantasy and fairytale-themed ball.

Hope Warriors director Aydee Edwards said the ball was more about raising awareness than money.

"The Hope Warriors name is getting out there and the more it does, the more local support we get," she said.

"We're raising money but this is more about getting the word out and having some fun."

Mrs Edwards said a committee had been organising the ball since the week after last year's event and more than 100 tickets had been bought before sales closed.

Hope Warriors raises money to support families and children with rare diseases.

Mrs Edwards said handing over a cheque last week to the Bunbury Hospital demonstrated the kind of work the not-for-profit organisation did.

"The cheque will be used to purchase three iPads for sick kids staying in the wards so they can access educational apps and entertainment," she said.

Perth couple Ashley and Ben Wibberley, whose son died earlier this year from the rare Krabbe disease, will be guest speakers at the ball, while entertainment includes Polercise WA, a harpist, an acoustic guitarist and local DJ Crackers.

Hope Warriors executive assistant Kirsty Stone said the ball would be different to those of past years. "It's at a new venue and the theme means there is more range on how people can dress, so it will be quite unique," she said.
