Myalup sprintcar driver Jamie Maiolo had a horror weekend, crashing out of the feature race in the Magic Man 34 at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday night.

Maiolo was collected by Trent Pigdon on the first lap of the big race, flipping hard, but walking away from the crash.

Maiolo had earlier in the night won heat three, finishing ahead of David Priolo and Shaun Bradford,

Meanwhile, his brother Brad faired not much better, finishing sixth in the feature race, with Jason Kendrick claiming an important victory.

Kendrick finished ahead of Andrew Priolo and Ben Ellement to grab the win, making amends after the number 92 car failed to finish in the first meet three weeks ago at the same venue.

Brad Maiolo spun out of control in an incident later on and his night got worse, being lapped by a number of drivers on his way to the poor finish.

The reigning AHG Sprintcar Series winner was one of just seven drivers to finish the race.

Brad Maiolo now holds a slender four-point lead in the series, sitting on 434 points, with Ellement trailing on 430 and Kendrick on 426.

Meanwhile, in the late models champion Bunbury driver Brad Blake had a great night, finishing second in the 34-lap feature race for the Magic Man 34 race.

Blake finished second to Jamie Oldfield in a shortened race, after it was called after 25 laps due to a number of incidents.

Blake started in pole position, but was passed by Oldfield early and held on after a number of stoppages to get the chequered flag.

The Late Models will next race at the QUIT Bunbury Speedway on November 19.
