Humpty Dumpty group gives a great wind-fall
Bunbury Hospital will receive two Symphony Breast Pumps with stands valued at $7200 for the maternity unit, thanks to the Humpty Dumpty Foundation’s Balmoral Burn fun run.
The fundraising weekend in May started with the annual Friday night Sponsors Dinner and was followed up on the Sunday with the fun-run in Sydney attended by 10,000 people.
Humpty Dumpty Foundation founder and executive chairman Paul Francis said the results from the weekend were outstanding and demonstrated how the community rallied together to raise much needed money over the past 16 years.
“Everyone who supports the Balmoral Burn, whether it be at the Sponsors Dinner or the Sunday fun-run, makes a huge difference to the medical outcome of children requiring treatment in hospitals and health services across Australia,” he said.
“I am always so amazed at the generosity of Humpty’s supporters and this year is no exception with tens of thousands of children benefiting from this year’s Balmoral Burn.”
The foundation has raised more than $55 million in its 16 years and continues to make an impact on the lives of sick and injured children in Australia.
