Indigenous players and their culture will be celebrated on Sunday afternoon at Kelly Park when Carey Park and the Collie Eagles contest a special match.

The first Indigenous Recognition Game was held last year and the two clubs have planned to make it an annual tradition, with the Collie Eagles even wearing a special guernsey for the occasion.

Collie Eagles coach Brad Humble said it was a special game for his side, especially with dual Sandover Medallist Steven Michael as an assistant coach.

"It is really important to him," Humble said.

"The amount of work the club has put into it is quite remarkable actually."

Carey Park coach John Baggetta said it was also a special game for a number of his players.

Baggetta confirmed spearhead Matt Martin would be back for the clash, after missing the weekend's loss against Busselton with a minor knee injury.

Martin has been a star of the competition this season, having kicked 48 goals in 10 games.

"He warmed up last weekend, but he was not up to playing," Baggetta said.

"Had we played Sunday he would have played."

Baggetta was also pleased to confirm the recruitment of former NSW State representative Cody Haub, who along with Riley Hutchinson will return to the side soon, giving the Panthers some extra midfield firepower.

"He (Haub) comes with some credentials," Baggetta said.

Despite losing to Busselton on Saturday night, Baggetta was pleased with his side's efforts.

"The effort across the four quarters was better than the past four weeks," he said.

"We have played 48 guys this year and now we will start to narrow that down.

"We did a couple of things we needed to do to take us forward and I think it is going to take a couple of games for that to come together."

Humble said he was confident his side would be competitive against the Panthers.

"I am happy with the progress of our guys and the way the club is going forward," he said.

"It is about getting that consistency with our young guys."

Humble said Carey Park's midfield would be his major focus.

"I think looking at those boys in the middle, such as Graham and Brandon Jetta, they have been near on unstoppable this season," he said.

"It's all about their midfield - that is where they have been winning games."
