Organisers of an activity and information day aimed at over 45s hope the event will better inform Bunbury seniors.

The Seniors Recreation Council Bunbury Branch will host the day-long event on September 9 at the South West Italian Club.

Bunbury Branch president Barbara Fleay said while plenty of people had indicated an interest in the event, it was crucial they registered with the council by this Friday.

Ms Fleay said the informative event was important in helping Bunbury seniors.

“If everyone who comes learns just one thing about their community that makes them happy and informed then the council will be happy,” she said.

Stalls with health information including breast screenings and hearing, travel and consumer protection are among the many services will be on offer.

Ms Fleay said it would be a good opportunity for seniors to try out activities such as carpet bowls and golf, sitting golf and skittles.

For an application form for the event contact Ms Fleay on 9721 1019 or Maria Fitzgerald on 0439 350 393.
