Busselton man Justin James Coyne pleads guilty to four-month crime spree across South West
A Busselton man has pleaded guilty to a four-month crime spree that saw him facing dozens of charges before the court.
Justin James Coyne appeared in Bunbury Magistrates Court last Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to the string of 35 charges.
Coyne faced 17 counts of stealing or possession unlawfully obtained goods, 11 drive-related charges, including reckless driving and the failure to stop to escape police pursuit, 4 drug-related charges, burglary, trespassing, and failure to appear in court.
He was originally set to face a total of 46 charges, but the court heard 11 of them had been discontinued by the prosecution.
While the facts are yet to emerge in court, the crimes took place between September and December of 2021, largely around the Busselton and Vasse areas.
Coyne is set to return to court on September 27 for sentencing and will remain in custody until then.
