Karnvool release 3rd album ahead of tour

South Western Times

Perth rock juggernauts Karnivool exploded back onto the Australian music scene last week with the release of their third full length album, Asymmetry.

Recorded over three months in the iconic 301 Studios in Byron Bay with producer Nick Didia (Mastodon, Rage Against The Machine), Asymmetry is the follow up to 2009’s Sound Awake, an album which helped the band achieve global success and saw the quintet embark on a year-long worldwide tour.

Not long after putting the finishing touches on Asymmetry, the band jetted to Europe to play some of the biggest stages on the European festival circuit, including Download, Sonisphere, Greenfields, Hurricane and Southside.

Now back in the country and with Asymmetry making waves around Australia, Karnivool is about to embark on a nationwide tour that will see the boys arrive home in Perth for a massive show at Metro City on Sunday August 11.

The August run of shows will be Karnivool’s last in Australia for some time with the band once again heading to Europe for a headline tour starting in October.
