TWO men charged over the stabbing deaths in the Greater Bunbury region over the weekend have appeared in the Bunbury Magistrate’s Court this morning.

Kelvin Fattar Khan appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm after 40-year-old single father Graham Wallam died from a stab wound.

It is alleged that Mr Khan inflicted a single stab wound to the victim's stomach during an altercation at a Talbot Road home about 8pm on Sunday.

The 33-year-old Brunswick man was not required to enter a plea and has been remanded in custody until March 12.

Jayden Cale Delany was charged with grievous bodily harm over the stabbing death of 22-year-old Bunbury resident Calvin Beeston.

Mr Beeston suffered a single stab wound to his chest during a brawl that broke out outside of the South West Sports Centre in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 18-year-old Langford man was not required to enter a plea and was also remanded in custody until March 12.

In an unusual security measure, members of the public attending court were subject to a metal detector test and were asked to empty their pockets as they entered the Bunbury courts this morning.
