Kate Fielding, SOUTH WESTERN TIMESSouth Western Times

A man has been charged after an incident last week at Bunbury Ski Beach, which left a 15-year-old girl in a critical condition.

Police said the girl and a 15-year-old boy were being towed on ski tubes by a boat last Wednesday, before colliding with another boat tied to a jetty.

The girl remains in a critical but stable condition in Royal Perth Hospital, while the boy was treated at Bunbury Regional Hospital for minor injuries.

South West detectives have charged a 46-year-old Stoneville man with one count of culpable driving – other than a motor vehicle – causing death or grievous bodily harm.

The man is due to appear in Bunbury Magistrate's Court on January 25.
