Mitchell Martin loves to sing.

The Bunbury indie-pop artist, who is well-known for scintillating crowds with his selection of covers and original songs, released his debut EP I Can’t Stop Singing on October 1.

Since then, Martin has played many live shows throughout the South West while also writing songs for his first studio album.

“I’m going back into the studio as well this month which is pretty sweet, ” Martin said.

“I plan to record a few songs that I have already written.

“Hopefully the album is out by the start of 2017, but it’s too early to say for sure.”

After the release of I Can’t Stop Singing, Martin has been busy performing live to help promote the EP.

He said many people had supported the release with crowd members also singing along to the blissful tunes.

“One gig I managed to get people up and dancing to one of my originals, ” he said.

“That was a good moment for sure.”

The former Bunbury Catholic College student performs as a solo musician, and is also a member of three-piece cover band Three Steps North.

“I’ve got about two gigs each weekend through to April, ” he said.
