McGlashan in ‘Dangerous’ form

Daniel “Danger” McGlashan lived up to his nickname on Friday night, when in his Western Alliance boxing bout against Steven Kennedy, he truly was Dangerous.

McGlashan dominated the four-round fight at the WA Italian Club, with his exceptional skill and speed giving him the win by unanimous decision and the young boxer his second “W” of his career.

Trainer Peter Stokes believed the young boxer could have finished the fight, but held the trigger to get the much needed ring time.

“This guy (Kennedy) was going for the knock out from first bell, but we had to outsmart that, ” he said.

“He was at the end of Dan’s jabs all night.

“This fight could take McGlashan to the next level, he has a long career to go ahead of him.”

McGlashan said he felt comfortable the whole fight.

“I just had to watch his counter and keep my hands up, ” he said.

“He was trying to take my head off.

“The people there made a lot of noise which was good and it was a good feeling getting that hand raised.”

McGlashan said he would have a break for a while before fighting later this year, aiming for the State Championship.
