Movie lovers have been getting a treat at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre this month, with the Summer Film Series underway.

The series runs until February 6 and includes international films as well as the best award-winning films from the past few years.

This Saturday’s film includes French bio-comedy Haute Cuisine, a story about Daniele Delpeuch, who was the private chef for Francois Mitterrand.

Then in the afternoon it is the Academy Award-winning film Whiplash, which stars up-and-coming actor Miles Teller and tells the story of a promising young jazz drummer who enrols at a cut-throat music conservatory.

The series then continues on January 23 with Belgium film Omar and Academy Award-winner Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).

Then on Saturday, January 30, there will be Polish film Ida and Golden Globe-winner Leviathan.

The series then finishes on February 6 with a replay of Haute Cuisine and Still Alice.
