Nine guns stolen in Bunbury robbery

ADAM ORLANDOSouth Western Times

South West detectives are appealing for help to recover a cache of firearms and ammunition which was stolen from an Usher home in the early hours of this morning.

Police today have asked the public for help to locate nine guns, which included two air rifles and a double-barrel shotgun, stolen from the house last night along with 600 rounds of ammunition.

Acting Det. Sen-Sgt Brett Panten said it was likely the thieves knew the firearms were at the house.

Today two safes stolen from the home, one containing personal items, were found dumped in different locations in Gelorup.

Det. Sen-Sgt Panten said all the guns stolen were licensed.
