A man walked more than 2km along one of Bunbury’s main roads after he was stabbed in the arm with a small knife in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

However, no one has been charged over the incident.

South West Detectives yesterday finished its investigation after they spoke to a number of people, including the victim, a 43-year-old man.

The South Western Times has been told the man was at a house in the Bunbury CBD when he was stabbed.

The man then walked to the intersection of Blair Street and Sandridge Road before a passing car stopped and its passengers called the police and an ambulance.

The man was taken to Bunbury Hospital.

The car and area was cordoned off by two police cars on Tuesday morning while police and forensic officers spent much of the day at the Wittenoom Street house.

Bunbury Detectives acting officer-in-charge Det-Sen. Sgt Dayle Hamilton said the man’s injuries were not life-threatening.

He said it appeared the man had been stabbed in the arm by a small knife.

“We have finished an investigation and no charges have been laid as a result, ” he said.
