Officers have had to jump from the path of a stolen vehicle this morning, as offenders escaped police.

South West police are searching for the stolen Mitsubishi Challenger, which they believe is being driven by two men.

Acting officer-in-charge Sgt Matt Leishman said offenders stole two vehicles from Bunbury Auto Group at Forrest Avenue early this morning.

“They’ve stolen one and then hooked up another on a trailer and smashed their way out of the car yard,” Sgt Leishman said.

He said police attended a property in Carey Park a short time later after receiving a tip off.

“Officers have tried to approach the car with the offenders in it and they’ve taken off causing the trailer to come off,” he said.

Police are asking for any information or sightings of the white Mitsubishi Challenger with plates ‘CATTORQUE’.

The two men are believed to be wearing dark clothing.
