Organisers and sponsors of this year’s Meadowbrooke Lifestyle Estate South West Seniors Expo have presented the winners of an impressive raffle line-up with their prizes.

Bunbury resident Ricky Buswell won the major expo raffle prize after entering when he attended the event on November 6.

Mr Buswell said it was a “great feeling” winning a solar powered air-conditioner, valued at more than $4000 thanks to solar energy specialists Sunwise.

Mr Buswell said he did not have an air-conditioner in his house and it would be put to good use over summer.

“I nearly fell off my chair when I got the phone call,” Mr Buswell said.

“It’s the first thing I’ve ever won in my life.”

Karen Dymock won second prize and will enjoy a trip to Singapore thanks to Kings Tours and Travel.

Oriwa Sadlier won a television through Bunbury Retravision.

Expo president Merv Mancer used the presentation to thank the 16 sponsors of the event saying it was the most that had ever signed on to help.

Meadowbrooke Lifestyle Estate chairman Kevin McDonald said the expo was an important event for seniors and sponsors and volunteers were invaluable.

“You can’t do this sort of stuff without sponsors and you especially can’t do it without volunteers,” Mr McDonald said.
