Incredible acts that will be performed at Bunbury’s first Fringe Festival and were revealed at it’s official launch at Maker and Co last night.

Joel McGuinness of JAM Creative and Kelsie Miller from Good Nights are the masterminds behind the event.

The pair hope to encourage the growth of arts and culture in the region while highlighting home-grown talent.

“The festival will encourage visitors to find the fun in our city, activate the Bunbury CBD and invite people to discover something new,” artistic director McGuinness said.

“The festival has a really good format to view live shows and creates an opportunity for people to get off the couch and instead socialise with friends in a casual, fun environment while supporting live performers”.

A central festival hub will provide a relaxed space for patrons to eat, drink and hang out in-between shows,as well as rub shoulders with artists or stumble across spontaneous performances.

“It will be a venue to expect the unexpected,” McGuinness said.

A CBD street party, storytelling workshops, adult only cabarets, jazz, comedy and children’s shows make up some of the other events to be included in the festival’s program.

McGuinness said musicians, comedians, poets or similar performers with 10 to 20 minute sets still have the opportunity to fill a handful of spots by registering their interest.
