Renovations expand Bunbury cafe's appeal

South Western Times

Two weeks of renovations and a name change later, a Bunbury cafe has expanded its target market.

Corners on King — formerly Mangrove River Cafe — reopened two weeks ago and co-owners Greg Thomson and Russell Green have already seen changes in their clientele.

“We’re now seeing customers as young as 18, whereas before we were missing that younger demographic,” Mr Thomson said.

“It shows this type of business is what Bunbury was wanting and needing.”

Mr Thomson said he and Mr Green had owned the business for three years and felt it was the right time for a change.

“It was time for a big shake up, we have a completely new look, new menu and new team,” Mr Thomson said.

He said the business had been receiving positive feedback, especially on the healthy and light menu options and the establishment’s classy new look.

The restaurant will soon start night time trading on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

“We are open seven days a week but we think this decision to do dinners is exciting,” Mr Thomson said.
