Boyanup won a shootout against Collie after Danni MacIntyre scored two goals to get the 3-2 win in the South West Hockey League women’s competition.

The win put Boyanup well ahead of challengers Marist and Robins on the league ladder.

Ageless Allana Barbetti scored the first half goal for Marist against Associates before a reply by Kiri O’Brien had the sides locked at one-all at the final whistle.

Barbetti’s daughters, Ashleigh and Tenielle, played excellent roles for Marist, while Associates were well served by Denby Lynn, Jodi Larke and Ginetta Chiera.

The battle of the cellar dwellers, Exies and Towns-South was an evenly matched stand-off, with the game also finishing as a one-all draw.

Jo Sgro and Kim Mortimer traded goals as the two sides could not be separated before full-time.
