The South West has been battered by severe weather overnight causing damage to a number houses.

Residents are being urged to prepare for more storms tonight.

A strong cold front crossed over the region late Sunday night and in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Fire and Emergency Services Authority reported receiving seven calls for assistance in the South West.
