SW Football's Best and Fairest
The best of the best have been announced for South West Football League, with the best and fairest counts for the 10 clubs taking place over the last two months.
Each club has a different system, which reaches the same result of deciding who was the best for season 2015 in their respective sides.
This year there was some shock selections mixed with some clear favourites winning easily.
Donnybrook's best and fairest came out of left field, with tough midfielder Hayden King winning his first Keith Bedford Medal ahead of firm favourites Simon Parry and eventual runner-up Curtin Guglielmana.
Hayward medallist Chris Kane was the run-away winner at Busselton's count for the Brendon Fitzgerald Medal, easily finishing ahead of captain and 2014 winner Dan McGinaly who missed a big chunk late in the season.
Kane's Hayward chaser Graham Jetta finished his season with the Panthers on a high to finish ahead of fellow first-year player Kieran King for the Harris Medal.
Fellow finalists, the Harvey Bulls crowned big recruit Dan Leishman their best with the George Fletcher Medal, ahead of captain Josh Krispyn, while Kane Bloxsidge's successful return to form continued along its fairytale-esque line by winning the Page Medal at the Eaton Boomers, ahead of half-back running machine Blake Piggott.
At Augusta-Margaret River there was a shock win, with ruckman Daniel Atkinson pipping player-coach Ben Gerrans to win the Kim McKeown Medal.
Former Fremantle Docker and 2014 champion Hamish Shepheard was the hot favourite to win the award before the night.
The bottom half of the ladder also had a mix of upsets and favourites win their club's respective best and fairest awards.
Bunbury midfielder Brad Blake pipped Kurt Tropiano to take home the Pittard Medal, while Corey Griggs upset favourite Travis Cleggett at the Collie Eagles to win the Earl Coverly Medal.
South Bunbury fan favourite Shaun Crane beat first year league player Jaxon Bell to claim the Thompson Medal and Ty Armitage beat favourite Jack Quinn at Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault to win the Sol Green Memorial Medal.
