With the opening round of the South West Football League just two weeks away, excitement is building at the South Western Times.

Our dedicated team of football writers has been hard at work putting together a 16-page season preview to be included in next week’s edition of the paper.

Inside you will find in-depth analysis of every team’s chances, news about new and departing players, 2014 squads and a full rundown of all the season’s fixtures.

In the meantime, five South Western Times’reporters and SWFL general manager John Vidos gaze into the crystal ball and put their credibility on the line in the predictions table to the left.

The season begins on Saturday, April 19 with a night derby at the recently renovated Hands Oval between last year’s losing preliminary finalists South Bunbury and John Baggetta’s reinvigorated Carey Park with the Panthers looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2013.
