The South West Football League have given themselves the best chance of making tomorrow's Landmark Championship grand final, defeating the Avon Football Association by 39 points.

The SWFL kicked away late in the first quarter and never looked back in the 9.6 (60) to 3.3 (21) win.

Avon kicked the first two goals of the match through Kallan Bond and Jackson Giles, despite the SWFL having much of the early play.

Brady London and Mason Hislop wokred overtime in the backline, while Kane Bumann was trying to hold the underdogs deep in defence.

The champions got on the board late in the first half thanks to Curtis Guglielmana, changing the favour of the SWFL.

Goals to Mat Michael and Simon Parry gave the SWFL a lead at half-time, as the rain set in.

Jay Walton kicked a goal after the siren to bring in the main break, extending the SWFL's lead to 16 points.

As the rain became heavier the margin began to grow for the AFA, with Walton booting his second from the goal square, before setting up Anthony Tsalikis with another after tapping the ball to the small forward to run on to and kick the major.

Walton booted his third shortly after before the AFA kicked their first goal in almost 30 minutes of football through Nathan Trusso.

But an excellent roving goal from Joel Mahar put the resultsd beyond doubt and snuffed any chance of a comeback.

The SWFL will now wait on results to see if they have the better percentage and take on the undefeated Peel Football-Netball League in tomorrow's grand final.
