Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault and Bunbury played out the season’s first draw today at Brunswick Oval.

After a tight four quarters, both teams could not be split, with the Lions 5.13 (43) finishing level with the Bulldogs 6.7 (43).

The Harvey Bulls defeated last year’s premiers South Bunbury by 26 points thanks to a fantastic last term at the Harvey Recreation Ground.

After trailing all day, the Bulls over-ran the Tigers to claim a 11.9 (75) to 7.7 (49) victory.

Donnybrook kept Busselton winless, handing the Magpies a 53-point defeat at Sir Stewart Bovell Park.

The home side kicked just one goal for the day, as the Dons ran away with a 10.10 (70) to 1.11 (17) win.

The Collie Eagles’ momentum is still rolling after they defeated the Eaton Boomers by 16 points at the Collie Recreation Ground.

Both sides battled hard all day, but inaccurate kicking cost the Boomers, who lost 10.8 (68) to 7.10 (52).

And Augusta-Margaret River survived a third-quarter scare to defeat Carey Park by 14 points at Gloucester Park.

The rain never ceased in Margaret River, as both sides slogged it out in tough conditions, but it was the Hawks who walked away with a 7.5 (47) to 5.3 (33) win.
