Taking country public art to the city
A banner by a South West artist depicting some of Bunbury’s most recognisable public sculptures and buildings is heading to Perth for display in St George’s Terrace.
Bunbury’s entry for the 2013 Banners in the Terrace Competition was handed over to Deputy Mayor Stephen Craddock from artist Chris Williamson today before heading to Perth to be seen by thousands of people.
The hanging of the banners in St George’s Terrace and Adelaide Terrace forms part of the annual WA Local Government Convention and Trade Exhibition and is one of the State’s largest single community arts projects.
