Tatnell takes Krikke Boys Shootout

MITCHELL WOODCOCKSouth Western Times

KRIKKE Motorsports driver Brooke Tatnell had one of the most emotional nights of his career when he won the 2015 QUIT Krikke Boys Shootout.

Tatnell began the 35-lap feature at the QUIT Bunbury Speedway in second position and jostled with defending champion Kerry Madsen, who began on pole position, for most of the race.

A five-car crash with 22 laps to go saw a red light halt proceedings, before yellow lights with six and three laps to go allowed the pack to stay on Madsen and Tatnell right to the finish.

Tatnell held strong through the two late re-starts and held off Madsen to the end to take his first Krikke Boys Shootout in his fifth attempt.
