The circus comes to town in a fabulous show at BREC, and at the SW Italian Club comes alive with orchids.

1. Art Break Day

People are encouraged to take part in art when Bunbury joins in a global event on Sunday. Art Break Day is a global initiative where everyone is invited to sit down, enjoy a break and create some art. Anzac Park, Paisley Square and St Paul’s Place in central Bunbury will be the three locations and run from 10am until 4pm.

2. Circus Oz

Circus Oz explodes with a fabulous new show Twentysixteen. The show is a refreshing mix of new and old, innovation and tradition. The turbo-charged acrobats bring new skills and wizardry to acts such as the flying trapeze, the Chinese pole and unicycle adagio at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

3. Garden expo

South West Italian Club will be a picture of colour this weekend. Bunbury Orchid Society will hold their spring show which will feature demonstrations and garden stalls. The likes of orchids, irises, herbs, roses, bonsai, lilies and plenty more will be on display between 9am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

4. Art extravaganza

The work of 12 South West artists will be just one part of a sundowner on Friday. A live vocal performance from Out of the Blue, food platters, South West wines and a raffle will complement the Art Extravaganza auction. All proceeds will go towards the Val Lishman Health Foundation. It will be held at Blair Street furniture store Kuka from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

5. Orbison and Everly

Celebrate the music of legends Roy Orbison and the Everly Brothers on Thursday night. Come and relive the 50th anniversary celebration of the magic and classic hits of three of the world's greatest rock-and-roll legends in a wonderful tribute night at Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.

6. Double bill

A tribute to two of the biggest bands of the 1970s will hit the Prince of Wales Hotel on Saturday. Fleetwood Mac and Blondie will be celebrated in a two-act Tribute Extravaganza. Sweetwood will focus on the era featuring Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham, performing classics such asRhiannon, Don’t Stop and plenty more. Blondie Explodes will then showcase the tunes of the Debbie Harry and Chris Stein band includingHeart of Glass andAtomic .

7. Antiques fair

Boyanup will host an antiques, collectables and craft fair this weekend. Held in conjunction with the Boyanup Lions, the fair will be held from Friday until Sunday. Items will be appraised for a gold coin donation. It will be held at the Hugh Kilpatrick Hall on South Western Highway.

8. Bending the Rules

Contortionist and motivator Christine Danton will bring her inspiring and entertaining show to Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre. Now in her 70s, Danton has inspired audiences with her athletic abilities and the feats she can still conduct. The fascinating show will take place on Saturday.

9. David Brent

Ricky Gervais brings the character which shot him to prominence to the big screen. David Brent: Life on the Road is based around his famous character from television comedy series The Office. The film is rated MA and is now showing at Grand Cinemas Bunbury.

10. SWFL finals

Finals time has arrived in the South West Football League. Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault will clash with Collie Eagles in a qualifying final at Hands Oval, with the winner to meet South Bunbury next weekend for a spot in the grand final. The elimination final between Harvey Bulls and Bunbury, which will be played at Payne Park. Both matches will begin at 2.20pm on Sunday.
