South West car enthusiasts will enjoy a day out on Sunday when Ignition South West presents its annual Bunbury Auto Show and Shine.

From 10am until 3pm at the Bunbury Recreation Ground, owners of some of the region’s nicest cars will display their four-wheeled beasts all in the name of charity.

Proceeds from the event will go towards Make-A-Wish Australia, which helps make the wishes of sick children come true.

Ignition South West president Brad Coleman said it was all for a good cause.

“We are promoting it as a family day and there will be face painting as well as other activities,” he said.

“We had 183 cars last year, so if we can get 180 this year it would be great.”

Mr Coleman said there would also be a Trader’s Alley, where businesses will show off their range of car products and promotions.

Southwest Harley-Davidson will also be bringing a range of bikes down on the day to show visitors.

Last year’s event raised $22,175, with tickets this year costing $10 for adults, $5 for concession and children 13-and-under free.
