There’s such diversity on this week - Good Nights, Diwali, and a triathlon are all on the list ... and more.

1. Good Nights

Good Nights is taking over the Cube and Sky Bar at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre this Friday night for an incredible evening of live music.

Headlined by Queensland musician Josh Rennie-Hynes, who is touring his second album Furthermore, the event will also feature support from Davey Craddock and Bunbury’s own Codee-Lee Down.

The relaxed atmosphere of Good Nights will continue with couches, beanbags and bar stools all on offer and patrons are invited to bring along a picnic to enjoy.

Doors open from 6.30pm.

2. Masquerade Ball

Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre will host the Western Australia Country Health Services Once Upon a Dream Masquerade Ball this Saturday.

Starting at 7.30pm, the event aims to raise money for improvements for Bunbury Hospital, with the ticket price including champagne on arrival, canapes and a silent auction.

Entertainment will be provided by My Name’s Jeff, with DJ Cory Van Dijk also performing.

3. Drag It Up Show

Enjoy a night of fast-paced frivolity and delightful entertainment this Saturday, with the fabulous and flamboyant Drag It Up drag queen show.

Hilarious and lively, the Queens will entertain audiences with their mischievous antics and interactive show, disco beats and playful banter.

The event will take place at The Clifton, next door to the Clifton Beach Motel, beginning from 8pm, with tickets available from Eventbrite or at the door.

4. Rock’n’roll dance

Bunbury band Strictly Business will perform at the Rock’n’Roll Club Dance this Saturday, getting people up onto the dance floor for some old time fun.

The five-piece band that sing and play a range of instruments will kick-off the show at the Commercial Club from 8pm.

Tickets are available for $10 for members and $15 for visitors.

5. Pridefest

Pridefest returns to Bunbury this Saturday at Bicentennial Square from 4pm, celebrating diverse sexualities.

Local bands Rapscallion and Crash Rats will provide entertainment, alongside Bunbury’s Rock’n’Roll High School and the South West Aerial Fitness Academy.

Food and refreshments will be available from a number of food trucks, with the event free for all to attend.

6. Women’s triathlon

Nina’s Women’s Triathlon is back on Sunday, encouraging women of the South West to challenge themselves mentally and physically.

There are two courses available for competitors, including the Gold Standard event, which includes a 200m swim, 10km cycle and 2km run and the Diamond Level Event, with its 300m swim, 15km cycle and 3km run.

The event begins from 7.30am at the South West Sports Centre, with visitors welcome to cheer on friends and family.

7. High-energy act

Electric blues and roots band 19 Twenty will take to the stage at the Prince of Wales Hotel this Thursday for a high-energy performance.

Having toured Australia seven times and performed sold-out shows throughout Europe, the independent act is continuing to garner new fans around the globe.

Their latest singleSailor Jerry , combines the smooth tones of Gary Clark Jr with the rock and roll style of the Black Keys.

Doors open from 8pm.

8. Gallery exhibition

Bunbury Regional Art Galleries latest exhibit Lines as Communication: The South West Printmakers will open this Friday, showcasing works from across the region.

Focussed on the theme of every line telling a new story, the individual and collaborative works are drawn from across a range of printmaking mediums.

The opening will begin at 6pm, with the exhibition running until January 8, 2017.

9. Mysterious sci-fi

Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner headline this latest sci-fi mystery from acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve.

When mysterious spaceships begin to land in various locations around the world, the military hires an elite team of linguists and physicists to investigate.

As mankind heads to the brink of war, the group must figure out the language of the aliens and determine whether they come in peace or as a threat to humanity.

Arrival opens in theatres from Thursday.

10. Festival of Lights

The South West Indian Group is hosting the annual Diwali Festival of Lights at the South West Italian Club from 4pm to 7.30pm on Saturday.

The evening will feature Bollywood dancers, Noongar performances, Spanish dance and a fire show for the whole family to enjoy.

An array of Indian food is included in the ticket price. It is alcohol and smoke free event.
