Top of the table soccer girls in thriller

In the Country Coastal Junior Soccer Association Under-16s girls top of the table clash between the two unbeaten teams so far, Hay Park 'Port' came out on top by 4-2 against Australind Lynx, at Australind.

This was a great clash between two very evenly matched sides.

Hay Park took control early with two good goals within the first 20 minutes.

Lynx came storming back with a fantastic individual goal from Sarah Currel.

Lynx were gaining control until a superb passing move from Hay Park ended with the brilliant Maddy Obal smashing in her second to restore her side’s two-goal advantage, leaving the half-time scores 3-1.

The second half became a tough encounter with little given away by either side.

Hay Park then all but finished the game with a great second strike by the speedy Logan Walton making it 4-1.

Lynx however never gave up, and Currel scored her second to make the scores 4-2.

The win puts Hay Park on 13 points after five games with Australind Lynx remaining on 10 holding on to second spot by one point from Dynamo's who thrashed Eaton Town 7-2. Panthers had the bye.
