Two arrested after Bunbury pharmacy robbery

Two people were arrested yesterday after allegedly committing an armed robbery at a pharmacy in South Bunbury.

Police will allege a 39-year-old man was carrying a syringe filled with a red liquid when he entered the pharmacy on Spencer Street about 2.15pm.

A police spokesman said the man exited the store with cash and medication and left the area in a car with a 26-year-old Nannup woman.

They were stopped by police on Bussell Highway and arrested a short time later.

The man and his alleged accomplice have been charged with armed robbery and are due to appear before Bunbury Magistrate’s Court today.
