Powerhouse South West Soccer Association club, Bunbury United kept on course to reclaim the South West Soccer Championship title that has eluded them for the past few seasons with a solid 3-0 victory over Dunsborough at the Soccerdrome on Sunday afternoon.

The win continued a strong surge after wins over last season’s champions Busselton, coupled with a 3-0 win over Dynamos the week before, courtesy of an eye-catching show by Risdon brothers, Ryan and Nat.

Nat Risdon was first to strike but sent his power drive skimming the bar in the 10th minute and likewise 15 minutes later.

However, it was rugged worker Danny Abiss who drew first blood with a beautiful, long drive from outside the box. A high bouncing ball late in the first half was touched by a Dunsborough defender for an own goal for a 2-0 half-time lead.

Dunsborough’s best, goalie Justin Barber was a busy man after the main break.

Bunbury United launched a series of raids into a stiff breeze punctuated by a strike at the 55-minute mark to wrap up the scoring.

Backing Barber were pacy Ethan Dellatte and strong left back Phil Turtle while Bunbury United’s best were Abiss, Nat Risdon, skipper Adam Spinelli, Lee Walker and Ryan Risdon.

In other results Dynamos defeated Australind 4-1 at Australind and Dalyellup Rangers drew with Eaton-Dardanup 4-4 at Dalyellup.
