Virtual orchestra open to players
A combination of digital technology and visual and audio innovations will allow audiences to conduct and even play with the Australian Chamber Orchestra in an installation at the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries.
ACO Virtual will be open at the galleries on November 6 and the installation includes a touch screen which allows audiences to listen to one musician or a section of instruments while images of the musicians can also be manipulated.
The musical score can be turned on to stream along the bottom of the screen, which allows anyone who can read music and play an instrument, to play along.
