Police are calling for witnesses to three thefts in the Bunbury area over the weekend.

Dalyellup Sports Pavilion was broken into on Friday at 8pm, with thieves getting away with a cash register.

Acting Sen. Sgt Alan Armstrong said it was not known how much money was in the cash register.

“They most likely dumped the cash register somewhere in the area,” he said.

On Saturday at 4.30pm a man stole a woman’s purse while she was shopping at Big W.

Acting Sen. Sgt Armstrong said after several people chased the man he allegedly threatened the victim with a knife in the carpark.

The offender then got into a silver Mitsubishi Lancer which was driven by a female.

The Farmer’s Market in Bunbury was targeted by a man and woman who stole some food on around 3.30pm Sunday.

When the two were confronted by the owner, they made a run for it, driving off and doing a burnout in the carpark in a 1994 White Holden Commodore Ute.

Acting Sen. Sgt Armstrong urged the community to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
