Withers CCTV planned after vandalism

A Withers resident was verbally abused and sprinklers damaged at the Des Ugle Park on Tuesday in the latest of a string of incidents at the newly upgraded park.

Items that have been damaged beyond repair include a new footpath erected near Littlefair Drive and equipment in the toddler playground installed only last month.

Bunbury city councillor and Withers Action Group member James Hayward said the vandalism was disappointing.

“We’re looking at installing CCTV in the park and this has made it clear that it is urgently needed, ” he said.
