Eaton Boomers product Aaron Black may have played his last game for the year, after the Geelong key position player suffered a knee injury on Saturday night.

Black hyper-extended his left knee after landing awkwardly following a marking contest early in the third quarter at GMHBA Stadium.

The former North Melbourne forward was playing against his former club when the injury occurred.

The 27-year-old was playing just his third game for the season and seventh at Geelong, having rejuvenated his career after switching to the backline.

Black came to the Cats in 2017 after seven seasons and 50 games with the Kangaroos, where he kicked 64 goals.

The 192cm athletic, key position player was drafted by North Melbourne with pick 25 in the 2009 National Draft.

Black will have to wait on scans before the extent of the injuries is revealed.
