Australind man charged over fatal crash
A 44-year-old man has been charged with four offences by major crash officers investigating a fatal crash in which a 53-year-old man died on September 17 on Boyanup-Picton Road, Crooked Brook.
The man was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, no authority to drive, driving an unlicensed vehicle and possessing drug paraphernalia.
The man will appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court on November 27.
The crash, which happened near the intersection of Dillon Road, involved a red Holden Commodore utility and a Lexus four-wheel-drive.
The 53-year-old man from Australind who was the driver and single occupant of the Commodore died at the scene.
The 44-year-old driver of the Lexus – also from Australind – sustained head injuries and was flown to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue Helicopter.
