The South West Youth Driver Development Program (YDDP) last week received two iPads, courtesy of Bendigo Bank’s Bunbury Branch.

The iPads will be used as part of the soon-to-be-launched RYDE Supervised Driving Program which will pair volunteer mentors with young drivers to ensure they accumulate the required minimum 50 hours of supervised driving while holding a learner’s permit.

YDDP chairman Murray Cook praised the company for its enthusiastic support of the initiative and said without this kind of support, programs like this simply would not be possible.

The RYDE program was recently launched in Mandurah with the help and support of Bendigo Bank’s Halls Head branch, a deed Bendigo Bank Bunbury Branch manager Kelly Stone and her staff were all happy to replicate.

“My staff and myself at the Bunbury branch are all very proud and appreciative that we were given the opportunity to provide the iPads to go towards such a great community initiative,” she said.
