Associates caused the upset of the round, when they defeated championship contenders Marist 3-2 in the South West Hockey League men’s competition at the Bunbury and Districts Hockey Stadium on Sunday.

Collie began the round on Friday night with a solid 1-0 win over TownsSouth, while Wests were forced to watch with the bye.
In the women’s competition, Pia Kirk was the hero for Associates, when she scored a late goal to defeat Robins 1-0 on Sunday.
Boyanup were put to the test by Collie, but a goal from Nicole Bignell helped them escape with a 1-0 win.
Marist were the big winners at the weekend, defeating Exies 2-0 on Sunday to help solidify themselves into second.
TownsSouth and Capel could not be separated, with both sides scoring just the one goal on their way to a one-all draw to finish the penultimate round.
