BSBL 2023: Bulls Gold’s high-octane offence belts Tornadoes Red into submission
Men’s title hopefuls Bulls Gold produced one of the most staggering four-quarter performances across the entire Bunbury Senior Basketball League on Tuesday night at the South West Sports Centre.
Led by a soaring Pharell Keats, Gold humiliated a sub-par Tornadoes Red 166-69, who were beaten convincingly in every facet of the game.
Bursting out of the traps with a 19-2 run, the enthusiastic league leaders still fought for every pass and shot as if their lives depended on it.
Aside from making countless athletic plays on the offensive end, all players eagerly rushed back into defence when called upon.
Try as they might, Red were unable to penetrate Gold’s vice-like grip under the defensive glass, which led to visible dejection as the margin blew out.
Tyson Lane also enjoyed a night he will never forget for the victors, cashing in with 25 baskets inside the paint.
In the women’s competition, Tornadoes Red belted the Eaton Eagles 72-50, who again relied on Karinda Farrant to make their final score somewhat respectable.
