Bunbury BMX champ Reynolds stars in US
Original South West Academy of Sport athlete and Australian BMX star Lauren Reynolds has once again made her country proud, finishing seventh at the recent world championships.
The two-time Olympian proved her mettle last month at the UCI BMX World Championships at Rock Hill in the US with an impressive performance at the Novant Health BMX Supercross track.
After clawing back from last position to finish third in the semi-finals, the speedster completed the final in seventh place – less than two seconds behind the winner, USA rider Alise Post.
The 26-year-old’s efforts earned her a world number seven place.
Reynolds made SWAS history in 2009 by becoming the academy’s first Sports Star of the Year.
