All three co-accused alleged to be involved in a brutal Bunbury motel attack are set to fight the charges, after the final alleged offender entered a not-guilty plea to the court this week.

Steven John Noakes, 49, faced Bunbury Magistrates Court on Monday where he denied the charges of aggravated home burglary, assault occasioning bodily harm and criminal damage relating to the 2022 incident.

Alleged co-accused Tamara Mary Gennoe and Jade Thomas Hunt have also pleaded not guilty to their charges.

He will now join co-accused Jade Thomas Hunt and Tamara Mary Gennoe in fighting the charges against them in the District Court, with all three set to return to court on September 27 for a trial listing hearing.

It is alleged the trio broke into a Bunbury property at 6.45am on Friday October 14 and a woman, who police believe was known to the group, was assaulted during the incident.

Police say bodily harm was caused to the alleged victim — though the extent of her injuries was not revealed in court — and Ms Gennoe was armed with a dangerous weapon or instrument during the incident.

The group are also accused of causing damage to the victim’s Honda CRV located outside the property.
