Bunbury City Council has vowed to work with the Government to ensure the city is promoted after a response to concerns over the Bunbury Outer Ring Road.

The council wrote to Premier Mark McGowan over the design of the northern intersection and Bunbury not having “primacy” for travellers.

Ahead of his visit to the city on Friday, Mr McGowan responded that the council’s preferred option could not proceed due to potential environmental impacts.

Mayor Gary Brennan said the council acknowledged the environmental concerns and that it now must work with the Government to ensure the city received sufficient recognition and promotion.
