Bunbury Police are calling on the public for assistance in their investigation into an alleged assault and theft in South Bunbury.

It was alleged the incident occurred around 3:20pm on Thursday where two young girls were riding an electric scooter along Minninup Road when they were confronted by a group of four people that were riding in a blue Holden Commodore.

Police say the group “accosted” the girls and assaulted them before stealing their electric scooter.

The blue Holden Commodore, which featured Bunbury number plates, has been cited by police as an alleged vehicle of interest.

Officers were also calling on any residents in the area that have CCTV or dashcam footage of either the incident or the Commodore to hand the potential evidence in to CrimeStoppers or Bunbury Police.

The investigation is ongoing.
