Police are reminding the public that, while refurbishments at Bunbury Police Station have been a little disruptive, it is business as usual on the frontline.

The multi-million dollar refurbishment to the Wittenoom Street station is well under way and the most recent work has meant the front desk has had to relocate across the road.

Officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt Mal Jones said it was business as usual for police.

“There’s been no disruption to services,” Sen. Sgt Jones said.

“It’s normal operations, but the front counter is now over at 65 Wittenoom Street.

“We do encourage people to call police on 131 444 if they can do that instead of having to come in.”

The $4 million refurbishment is expected to be completed before the end of the year and will include an extension of office space, new locker rooms, gymnasium and ablution block.

The temporary front counter is upstairs inside the court house building, with entry from the west side of the building.
