South West residents are gearing up to celebrate the powerful women in Bunbury’s community and all of their achievements on Monday for International Women’s Day.
This year’s theme is “choose to challenge” with the motto: “a challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change”.
Catch an inspiring presentation by human rights lawyer and hostage survivor Rabia Siddique livestreamed from AusIMM’s Perth event tomorrow at Mercure Sanctuary Golf Resort.
Zonta Club of Bunbury is hosting its annual International Women’s Day breakfast on Sunday, when guest speaker Jane Coffey will share her experience with homelessness and as an academic at Curtin University.
South Bunbury Market Place is giving away free tampons on Monday from 8am to 7pm to help challenge the stigma around periods and start a conversation about affordable sanitary items.
Head along to Maker and Co from 1pm to hear from a wide range of inspirational, motivational women from the South West. All funds raised will go to South West Women’s Refuge.
Learn about the importance of regular cervical screening at a free informative talk at South West Women’s Health and Information Centre, followed by a cooking demonstration and lunch on Wednesday.
