Denehey scores fan votes

Printsync South West Slammers guard Georgia Denehey has been voted by the fans to be one of the starting five for the South in the annual State Basketball League All-Star game.

The 2018 Festival of Basketball will be hosted by Basketball WA on June 4 at the Bendat Basketball Centre and will be highlighted by the men’s and women’s annual All-Star clashes.

Denehey is having an excellent season for the Slammers, averaging 14 points, five rebounds and four assists from eight games.

The Slammers guard will line up alongside former MVPs Casey Mihovilovich and Ali Schwagmeyer, as well as Sydnee Fipps and Ashleigh Grant.

More players for the teams will be announced at a later date.
