The Bunbury Dolphin Discovery Centre is set and ready for its grand opening on Friday, almost two years since the redevelopment works started.

The centre opened to the public on December 22 but has not yet had an official opening.

Premier Mark McGowan will be attending the function set to get under way at 5.30pm with the Premier expected to cut the ribbon about 7pm.

The opening function will be followed on Saturday by the Dolphin Festival and the DDC Bunbury SunSmart Aquathon on Sunday.

“It presents as a world-class tourism attraction,” DDC chief executive David Kerr said.
