Children will have the chance to meet two special guests at Bunbury Centrepoint Shopping Centre this weekend as it gears up for Telethon.

GWN 7’s Doopa Dog and Channel 7’s Fat Cat will meet and greet shoppers while collecting money for Telethon, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Bunbury Centrepoint marketing manager Amy Pitts said the visit was a “warm-up weekend” before the Telethon Carnival Day on October 22.

“This Sunday Fat Cat and Doopa Dog will be doing two meet and greets each and collecting for Telethon,” she said.

Mrs Pitts said the duo would be available for photos and hi-fives to get everyone excited for the upcoming Telethon weekend.

“We would love everyone to come this Sunday as well as next Sunday as it’s a great chance for Bunbury to get involved in the Telethon festivities,” she said.

“Everyone knows of a story about someone who has had to use the services at PMH and it’s just such an important organisation that we support.”

“It’s all about having fun while raising funds at the same time.”

The pair will visit the centre between 11am and 1pm.
